Is this really free?
Yes — no sign-up, no credits, no watermark, and no limit on the size of the PNG you download. The processing happens on your own device, so it costs nothing to run.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photo is processed locally in your browser and never sent to a server. Only the AI model files (about 40 MB) are downloaded once from a public CDN the first time you use the tool.
Why is the first photo slower?
The first use downloads the AI model so it can work on your device. After that it's cached by your browser, so following photos are processed much faster — and it can even work offline.
Which photos work best?
Photos with a clear subject — a person, pet, product or car — and a background that contrasts with it. Hair and fine edges come out best when the original photo is sharp and well lit.
What do I get when I download?
A full-resolution PNG of the cut-out. With the transparent background selected it's a true transparent PNG; pick a colour swatch and the PNG is saved on that colour instead.
